In his first book, 麻豆社 Professor of Philosophy Barry Lam broaches widespread criminalization and argues to return decision-making power to 鈥渢he street level.鈥
鈥淭he proliferation of rules and mandates is making us dumber, less moral, more deceptive, and less able to govern important institutions,鈥 Lam argues in 鈥淔ewer Rules, Better People,鈥 published by W.W. Norton & Company. The book is 157 pages and utilizes narrative to ground abstract ideas.
